PAKISTAN INDEPENDENCE DAY On 14th of August ,annually independence day is observed in Pakistan . This  year , 2020,Pakistan celebrates its 74th independence day .The country celebrates independence from the British rule since 1947 . This is an occasion to promote national unity and patriotism . This day is a public holiday . People all over over the country celebrate with a patriotic zest .Pakistanis who attend the independence day parades dress up in green and white ,  colors of the national flag where green represents good fortune and prosperity and white symbolizes peace . The main independence day ceremony takes place in Islamabad . The national flag is hoisted at the Presidential and Parliament buildings ,followed by national anthem and live televised speeches by the leaders .
